Operational Capability Advancement Through Open Architecture Application - Flipbook - Page 2
Document overview
The application of Open Architecture (OA) in the development of all military systems should primarily have a focus on mission
requirements and military capability.
Utilizing OA will provide a signi昀椀cant operational advantage over our adversaries while greatly reducing the chance of
operational risk. Many members of the Precise Systems team are retired War昀椀ghters and understand the harsh reality behind
seemingly banal terms such as “operational risk” and “attrition.” Through our Advanced Engineering Core Capability, Precise
Systems aims to support our war昀椀ghters in providing a real advantage against a peer-on-peer adversary.
In this paper, we introduce OA and cite several examples of capability advantage implemented using OA. Without going into
details of technical implementation, our aim is to explain at a high level how OA directly correlates to mission success by
delivering the highest capability to our war昀椀ghters.
This is the Precise Systems perspective of the future of OA. Our experts have been at the forefront of OA development for over
10 years, including key OA initiatives of the U.S.A./International partner agreements, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization
(NATO), and the United Kingdom.
